I see the never ending horizon
through a dirt tinted glass
The beauty that was once there
is now a vapor of the past
Why does it all go away
why can it never last
Things are always changing
changing oh so fast
Staring out my window
I ask myself, Why?
Why does life exist as so
How can everyone seem so high
in a world so unforgiving
it can make a grown man cry
The reasoning I give myself...
all seems to ba a lie
Underneath the vision before me
I see death, hatred, and pain
But does anyone really care
By this, who is to gain
Our race is slowly fleeting
each soul seals it's fate
Every hand conceals a crimson stain
Yet you can place no guilt
who is able to say
That is the one!
But why must it be this way
Why can't things stay the same
Why must they go astray
Then, guess tomorrow will pass
just like any other day.
My expression shows the doubt
It shows such a disbelief
in a world so cold
a world filled with grief
Why do we say we care
when we seek only our own relief
Why go on in this capacity
when the joy is so brief
Life has many questions
many thoughts to ponder
Yet it gives no answers
Just visions of wonder
